Students and Alumni are invited to join the President and First Lady for a cookout.
This event is free of charge; however, registration is required.

“Blacklight with the Blazers” Pep Rally · PE Complex · Open to the Public
Wear your white clothing and help cheer the Blazers on to victory! Special appearances will be made by football players, cheerleaders, Red Hots, and the Blazin’ Brigade. Admission to this event is free of charge, open to the public, and requires no registration.

Battle of the Bands · PE Complex · Open to the Public
Witness some of VSU’s finest students, faculty, staff, and alumni fight to win the title of the best band on campus and amazing prizes! To register your band for this competition, contact the Office of Student Life at 229.333.5674. Admission to this event is free of charge, open to the public, and requires no registration.

To further incorporate the CommUNITY into VSU Homecoming, downtown merchants will be decorating their storefronts to help cheer on the Blazers. Restaurants and businesses will be offering discounts to VSU students, faculty, and staff during First Friday.
Don't miss your opportunity to see the Red Hots, Blaze and the 2013 National Cheer Association's Small College Co-Ed National Champion VSU Cheerleaders perform at 6:30 on the Courthouse Lawn!
The Community is invited to attend.

Saturday, October 5

11:00 AMHomecoming Parade · Around Main Campus · Open to the Public
Witness the creative ways VSU and community organizations interpret the Homecoming Theme of commUNITY in their floats. The route begins on Oak St., turns right onto Georgia Ave., turns right onto Patterson St., turns right onto Brookwood Dr., and ends at the Oak St. Parking Deck. Bring your folding chairs and set up your chairs along the route to get a front row view!

Before the game begins, bring your own snacks to meet new friends and prepare to celebrate with other fans!

Cheer the Blazers on at the Blazer Walk as they enter the locker rooms at the stadium.

Support our National Champions as they defend their title!
Students receive free admission to the game and will need to swipe their VSU ID at the Student Entrance (SW Gate, nearest the UC breezeway).
Ticket prices for faculty and staff are as follows:
Reserved (all ages; these are chairback assigned seats): $18
General Admission Adult: $10
General Admission Youth (Age 5 – Any College w/ID): $5
General Admission Senior Citizens (65+): $5
Group Rate (20+ people) – General Admission Adult: $7/person
Group Rate (20+ People) – General Admission Senior Citizen/Youth: $4/person
Tickets need not be purchased in advance. One may choose to purchase tickets in advance by visiting the Athletic Department Ticketing office, Room #105 in the PE Complex. There is heavy construction in this building; follow the orange cones on the tennis court side of the building to gain entrance.

6:00 PM2013 Homecoming Step Show
The step show will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2013 as a part of Valdosta State University’s Homecoming activities. It is the biggest step show in all of South Georgia and North Florida with over 4,000 in attendance every year. Presented by the Mu Omicron Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated.
