Parenting & Marriage Books

For some time I have been wanting to compile a list together of books that I have enjoyed reading over the past few years.  I feel I have gleaned important information from each and every one of these books.  I knew things that would work for my family and what wouldn't; you will have to do the same.

All of these books can be found on Amazon

Parenting Books:

The Holy Bible, Proverbs, great reference materials

The Power of a Praying Parent, by Stormie Omartian

BabyWise, (and others in that series) by, Gary Ezzo & Robert Bucknam

Secrets of the Baby Whisperer, by Tracy Hogg and Melinda Blau

Dare to Discipline & The Strong Willed Child, by James Dobson

Making Children Mind without Losing Yours, by Dr. Kevin Leman

Five Love Languages of Children, by Gary Chapman

Don’t Make Me Count to Three & Wise Words for Moms, by Ginger Plowman
And now there is an app for the Wise Words for Moms for your Android or iPhones $1.99
Shepherding a Child’s Heart, by Tedd Tripp

Raising Sons:

Bringing Up Boys, by James Dobson

Boys! Shaping Ordinary Boys into Extraordinary Men, By William Beausay II

That’s My Son, by Rick Johnson

Preparing Him for the Other Woman, by Sheri Rose Shepherd

 Family Devotionals:

Training Hearts, Teaching Minds by Starr Meade

The Holy Bible, Proverbs, Song of Solomon, Ephesians & Titus are great reference materials

The Power of a Praying Wife, by Stormie Omartian

Five Love Languages, by Gary Chapman (and other books of his)

Sheet Music and other books by Dr. Kevin Leman

Love & Respect, by Emerson Eggerichs

The Meaning of Marriage, by Tim Keller

Bible Studies:

I have been involved in BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) for 3 years now.  I can't say enough wonderful things about it.  It is you, the Bible and what God is speaking you right now.  There is a women's day class here in town that meets, and a men's group that is in the start up phase.
