VSU Planetarium
The Valdosta State University Planetarium has announced its 2010-2011 series of public planetarium shows:
• Oct. 15: The Astrotheology of Thomas Wright.
• Nov. 12: Meteorites: Rocks from Space.
• Dec. 3: The Star of Bethlehem.
• Feb. 11: Is there Life on Other Worlds?
• April 8: Fifty Years Ago: Man in Space!
Planetarium shows are at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on each evening and are suitable for ages 5 and up. Admission is by ticket only, and seating is limited to 47 visitors per show. Tickets are available free of charge and may be reserved in advance by calling the Department of Physics, Astronomy, and Geosciences at (229) 333-5752. The planetarium is located in NH 3004 on the third floor of Nevins Hall. If weather permits, the VSU Observatory will be open for public viewing during and after the planetarium shows.
Reservations are now being accepted for all shows.
